Beatrix Potter Primary School Street

A School Street was introduced in November 2022 on Openview between Magdalen Road and Leckford Road.

Operating hours

Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 9.15am and 2.45 to 3.45pm, term time only.

During the operating times people walking, scooting, using wheelchairs, mobility scooters and cycles (including adapted cycles) are able to enter the School Street.

Motor vehicles are prohibited during the operating times, subject to a limited number of exemptions. 

How it works

• Signs notify drivers of the School Street operating times
• Retractable barriers and bollards are currently being used to enforce the School Street restrictions
