Planning system changes
We are upgrading our system, and some services will be unavailable whilst we complete the work.
From Friday 11 September to Friday 25 September you will be unable to comment on an application. Deadlines will be extended accordingly.
Applications can be submitted through the Planning Portal, but they will not be processed during this period.

We have adopted a number of planning guidance documents and SPDs.
These documents provide information on how the policies and proposals in the Local Plan should be implemented.
SPDs replaced supplementary planning guidance (SPGs) in 2004. Despite this name change, SPGs remain material considerations in planning decisions.

- Trees and Development SPD - Guidance for applicants to assist them in managing and protecting trees during development
- Reuse, Recycling and Waste SPD - Guidance on the provision, design and location of refuse and recycling storage in residential, commercial and mixed-use developments
