Article 4 Direction No.1 

The Article 4 direction means that the following changes need planning permission:

  1. Demolition of part or whole of the front boundary
  2. Building walls, fences or gates on front or boundaries, which face a road or footpath

Westover Road (23 - 67)

Article 4 Direction No.2 

The Article 4 direction means that the following changes need planning permission:

  1. Demolition of part or whole of the front boundary
  2. Building walls, fences or gates on front or boundaries, which face a road or footpath
  3. Laying out hard surfaced areas, e.g. for car parking within the front garden

(Demolition of buildings will require Conservation Area Consent regardless of the Article 4 Direction)

Wandsworth Common Westside (62 - 72)

Article 4 Direction No.4 

The Article 4 direction means that the following changes need planning permission:

  1. Demolition of part or whole of the front boundary
  2. Building walls, fences or gates on front or boundaries, which face a road or footpath
  3. Laying out hard surfaced areas, e.g. for car parking within the front/side garden
  4. External alterations to buildings which would be visible from the street; i.e. all front elevations and some side and rear elevations; this includes the replacement of windows and doors
  5. Any changes to the roofs of building; including re-roofing in a different material
  6. Building porches at the front of the building
  7. Painting the outside walls of houses and flats
