Place Case Study

Place based women only fitness sessions

Project Summary

These two place‑based initiatives in Roehampton provide culturally safe, women‑only physical activity sessions designed to improve health equity, wellbeing and social connection for residents.

The programmes respond directly to priorities identified through the Community Health Needs Assessment, addressing barriers such as cultural safety, social anxiety, and limited access to inclusive community spaces. By embedding activity within trusted local venues and tailoring support to the needs of women and girls across generations, the projects strengthen community cohesion and promote healthier, more active lives.
