Wellbeing Warriors - Doddington & Rollo and Henry Prince Estates Yoga and Pilates

Project Summary

In partnership with Wandsworth Council (Public Health) and a network of local organisations, Live Karma Yoga has been delivering a vibrant, community-powered wellbeing programme designed to reduce health inequalities across Wandsworth’s housing estates.

For over two years, residents of the Doddington and Rollo and Henry Prince Estates have had free access to weekly sessions in Yoga, Mindfulness, Pilates and Fitness - open to all, regardless of age, background, beliefs, physical ability or health status. These inclusive classes offer more than movement: they provide practical tools for managing stress, improving mental and physical wellbeing, and fostering connection and belonging.

By embedding wellbeing into the heart of local communities, the programme is helping to build healthier, more resilient neighbourhoods — one breath, stretch and conversation at a time.

What our communities said

"I was seeking ways to improve my physical health. I have suffered with psoriatic arthritis combined with psoriasis. Also issues with balance... In four sessions of each I have noticed a great difference in how I feel physically. I had suffered constant lower back pain and pain elsewhere for many years. The difference I have noticed is two weeks free of lower back pain constantly... It would be a shame to lose those classes as they have made such a difference to me personally." - JanetJanet, attends Pilates and Yoga on the Doddington and Rollo Estates

"Pilates and Yoga saved my life. I have been suffering from chronic depression for many years... Since I started... These classes are a real blessing and should continue free and available to all. Also, the teachers’ approaches are impeccable. They show compassion, friendliness, and a high level of professionalism." - RobertoRoberto, attends Pilates and Yoga on the Doddington and Rollo Estates
