You said, We did: anti-social behaviour in Upper Tooting actioned

Following reports of anti-social behaviour and wider community concerns, the council coordinated a multi-agency response involving Housing, Community Safety, Planning, Regulatory Services, the Metropolitan Police and London Fire Brigade.  

Since concerns were formally raised in June, the council has worked with partners to implement a managed programme to relocate residents to more suitable accommodation, while ensuring appropriate support arrangements were put in place for those affected.  

As a result of this work, occupancy at the property has reduced and suitable alternative accommodation has been identified for the remaining occupants. 

Councillor Caroline de La Soujeole, Cabinet Member for Enforcement, said: 

"We understand the strength of feeling local residents have expressed about the issues associated with this property and the impact they have had on the neighbourhood. 

"I would like to thank residents, ward councillors and our partner agencies for working with us to find a solution. Through a coordinated effort, we have significantly reduced occupancy at the property, helped residents access more appropriate accommodation and support.” 

"Our priority has been to protect the wellbeing of local residents while ensuring people receive the support they need.”
