Report an empty home
We aim to bring empty properties back into residential use because demand for homes is high and empty homes can become a problem to other residents.
This can include:
- Overgrown gardens
- Dumped rubbish
- Pest control problems
- Being in a poor state of repair
We can give homeowners and landlords information, advice and support to carry out improvement work.
We are currently encouraging owners of empty properties to bring them back into residential use. As part of this strategy, grants are available for renovation works.
We have enforcement powers to bring vacant properties back into use.
