Smallwood Road Estates parking review
We asked residents in Smallwood Road (North and South) Estates whether they would like the Tooting Broadway Controlled Parking Zone to be extended into the cul-de-sac where they live. This followed the receipt of a petition from some residents in 29-51 Smallwood Road, Smallwood (South) Estate, requesting the introduction of parking controls on the highway to address parking and access problems associated with non-resident parking in the cul-de-sac.
Residents were asked specifically whether they wanted the Tooting Broadway CPZ extended into the cul-de-sac.
The consultation closed on Monday 16 October 2017. The results of the consultation are now being analysed. The views expressed by local residents and businesses, whilst an important factor, will be considered along with all relevant traffic management and other highway factors, when arriving at a decision about the merits of introducing a scheme and how it should operate. A report will be submitted to a future meeting of the Community Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee and the Council’s Executive. We will then write to residents detailing the outcome of the process and post the results here.
