Wandsworth Freegle receive regular requests for bicycles. You may consider donating your unused bicycles via their website.
Alternatively, take them to the Smugglers Way reuse and recycling centre.
Tyres and inner tubes
Velorim operates the UK National Bicycle Tyre and Inner Tube Recycling Scheme for the cycling industry. You can drop off waste tyres, inner tubes, and lithium-ion batteries at designated centres. Velorim has approximately 600 partners across the UK, including local bike shops like Decathlon. A small recycling fee may apply, depending on the centre.
They process the collected materials and transform them into new raw materials that can be used by various industries instead of virgin materials. Find your nearest Velorim centre.
