Current parking consultations

Rowditch Lane area review

Consultation on the possible introduction of a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) in Rowditch Lane.

We asked residents in the following roads for their views on the current parking conditions where they live and whether they would support the introduction of a CPZ. This followed the receipt of a petition from some residents of Rowditch Lane, Blondel Street, Dagnall Street and adjacent roads requesting a CPZ in order to improve the parking conditions in the area.

Rowditch Lane, Sheepcote Lane (uncontrolled section), Culvert Road, Blondel Street, Longhedge Street, Henley Street, Astle Street, Dagnall Street, Anerley Street, Orkney Street, Millgrove Street, Kennard Street, Austin Road, Harpsden Street, Chesney Street, Parkside Street, Battersea Park Road (between Culvert Road and Austin Road) SW11

Residents were asked specifically whether they wanted a CPZ implemented in the area and what hours and days it should operate.

The consultation closed on Thursday 23 October 2017. The results of the consultation are now being analysed. The views expressed by local residents and businesses, whilst an important factor, will be considered along with all relevant traffic management and other highway factors, when arriving at a decision about the merits of introducing a scheme and how it should operate. A report will be submitted to a future meeting of the Community Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee and the Council’s Executive. We will then write to residents detailing the outcome of the process and post the results here.
