Local Highways Maintenance Transparency Report
We’re investing a record-breaking amount to renew roads and pavements across Wandsworth this year, making ours the biggest resurfacing programme of any borough in London.
The largest portion of the programme is funded directly by the Council. This includes proactive repairs, preventative maintenance, and a significant uplift in resurfacing to improve conditions for everyone using our streets.
The £655,000 we’ve received from the Department for Transport supports borough-wide roads and pavement repairs programme, part of the government’s national allocation to local authorities. The funding can be used to fix potholes, resurface roads and cycleways, mend broken pavements, and look after bridges, tunnels, retaining walls and other structures.
The Local Highways Maintenance Transparency Report details our strategy and spending on highways improvements in Wandsworth.
