Planning system update
Our new planning system is now live. We are currently managing a high volume of applications, consultation responses, and local land charges search requests as we complete the transition to the new system.

Following our transition to digital systems, we no longer hold microfiche records. All records are now maintained and accessible online.

You can search planning applications on the Planning Explorer.
Alternative ways to find a planning application
You can:
- Use the Planning Explorer to search for planning applications submitted after 2000 (see our Planning Explorer help page)
- View the Planning Archive for planning applications submitted prior to 2000

Use this search if you know the address of the property and don't have a council reference number.
Search on a map
Search on a map if you want to view live and decided planning applications in an area. Live applications are highlighted in red.
Receive details of new planning applications in your area
Contact us to request notifications.
Enforcement register and complaints investigation database
Access details of the planning enforcement notices which we have served since 1 April 2002 and related appeals.
You can also find the complaints (alleged breaches of planning control) currently under investigation or closed in the last 6 months.
