Wandsworth Council has regularly carried out surveys of households in new-build housing developments.
The aim of the surveys has been to seek information on the characteristics of the residents living in the new developments, and ascertain their views on various aspects of their new homes.
The results of the surveys have informed the Council on how well its planning policies on housing development are working and have provided information for the planning of Council services.
Borough-wide surveys were carried out in 1997, 2004 and 2007.
In 2017, a survey focusing mainly on the Vauxhall, Nine Elms, Battersea Opportunity Area was undertaken. This was important to aid in planning for the scope and timing of new infrastructure to support the area, as well as identify the steps that the Council can take to respond to issues and concerns whilst the area is still developing.
