Our heritage assets

Planning system changes

We are upgrading our system between Friday 11 September and Friday 25 September, and some services will be unavailable whilst we complete the work.

Deadlines will be extended accordingly.

Applications can be submitted through the Planning Portal, but they will not be processed during this period.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Wandsworth has a heritage that is rich in architectural and historic character. Many parts of the borough are designated as conservation areas and we have around 500 listed buildings and another 500 buildings on our own Local List.

Wandsworth has six Registered Parks and Gardens of special historic interest and a number of parks and gardens of interest locally.

We have a legal duty to conserve and enhance the significance of our heritage assets under the Planning (Listed Buildings & Conservation Areas) Act 1990 and the National Planning Policy Framework published in 2012.

You can find out more about our heritage assets and what consents are needed if you wish to make alterations in this section.
