The Shopfronts supplementary planning guidance (SPG) provides detailed guidance on the design requirements for shopfronts in the borough. Advice regarding the design of fascia signs and illumination are included in this document.
Guidance should be considered alongside Policy LP8 Shopfronts found in the Local Plan 2023. You may also wish to refer to the Security for shops: Design guidelines, which can help you in creating a secure shopfront.
The SPD was adopted in November 1988.
