Putney Lower Common Conservation Area Article 4 Direction(15 - 36 Commondale)

The Article 4 direction means that the following changes need planning permission:

  1. External alterations to houses which would be visible from the street; for example, all front elevations and some side and rear elevations; this includes the replacement of windows and doors
  2. Changes to the roofs of houses; including re-roofing in a different material
  3. Building porches at the front of the house
  4. Laying out hard surfaced areas; for example, for car parking within the front and some side garden areas of houses
  5. Building walls, fences or gates on front or boundaries, which face a road or footpath
  6. Demolition of the front boundary or demolition of buildings
  7. Painting the outside walls of houses and flats
