Mount Clare planning appeal

A public inquiry is being held by the Planning Inspectorate in relation to a scheme for a site known as Mount Clare Campus, Minstead Gardens, Roehampton Gate, London W15 4EE.

Inquiry background

AKA Capability LLP have appealed against the council’s non-determination of the planning application for the:

Use as hostel accommodation (Sui generis) with associated landscaping and cycle parking (the ‘Appeal Development’).

Date and time

The inquiry will start at 10am on Tuesday 20 January 2026 and will be held in person in the Grand Chamber Committee Room at Wandsworth Town Hall.

The inquiry is scheduled to run for five days from Tuesday 20 January to Monday 26 January 2026, with an extra day reserved for Tuesday 27 January 2026.

On the first day, the inquiry will finish early at 3pm due to an evening committee meeting. On other days, it is expected to start at 9.30am and finish around 5pm.

Seats are available for the public on a first-come, first-served basis each day.

Banners, posters and megaphones are not allowed in the inquiry room.

Online session

At the opening of the Inquiry, it was agreed that a further date on Tuesday 3 February 2026 be included in the public inquiry timetable planned as a virtual session to allow for closing statements and for matters/queries arising from any Costs Award applications made by either party to be raised by the Planning Inspector.
