Winners of Wandsworth in Bloom 2026 announced

From colourful balcony displays to thriving community food-growing projects, this year’s competition showcased the creativity, dedication and pride that residents have invested in making Wandsworth greener and more biodiverse.

The ceremony brought together shortlisted entrants, sponsors and partners to celebrate the borough’s best blooming spaces, with awards presented across seven categories alongside special awards for Best in Show, Most Biodiverse and the People’s Choice Award.

The ceremony was held at the Old English Garden in Battersea Park (courtesy of our partners Thrive) and featured live music from a jazz band of seven local young people, the Malteserz Jazz Band. The People’s Choice Award was decided by guests attending the ceremony, who voted for their favourite shortlisted entry after viewing displays showcasing all finalists.

Councillor Ethan Brooks, Cabinet Member for Environment, who was a member of the judging panel, said:

“Wandsworth in Bloom is about so much more than just beautiful gardens and outside spaces. It celebrates and showcases the residents, schools, businesses and community groups that are committed to making Wandsworth an even better place to live. At every scale, from personal growing spaces to collaborative community projects, every entry shows how residents are taking pride in where they live whilst supporting nature and biodiversity. Thank you to everyone who entered! ”

How the competition worked

The competition ran throughout the summer, with entries invited across seven categories celebrating gardens, growing spaces, community projects and business displays. Entries were judged by an expert panel, with shortlisted entrants invited to the awards ceremony where winners were revealed.
