Wandsworth ‘open for business’ with new Developer Forums

Following an initial Developer Forum earlier this summer, the council is now preparing to hold the next session at Battersea Power Station, bringing together public and private sector partners to discuss how to unlock investment, accelerate housing delivery and support growth across the borough.

Councillor Robert Morritt, Leader of Wandsworth Council, said: "Wandsworth is open for business. We want to work with ambitious partners who share our commitment to getting on with delivering high-quality homes, supporting economic growth and investing in our borough.

"We are keen to attract development that creates jobs, improves infrastructure and helps deliver the homes our residents need. Our borough has enormous potential and we are determined to create the conditions for investment and growth - so come and talk to us."

This is the next step in our renewed engagement with the development sector as Wandsworth remains one of London's most significant growth locations, with major opportunities in Wandsworth Town, Clapham Junction, Battersea and Nine Elms.

The council is keen to work constructively with organisations that can help deliver the new homes, jobs, infrastructure and thriving town centres that we wish see come forward.

Future forums will build on conversations about housing delivery, economic growth, placemaking, planning and regeneration so that we can better understand the challenges and opportunities presented.

With a focus on growth and the benefits of growth for Wandsworth’s residents and businesses, the council is working hard to strengthen links with developers, investors, employers and key institutions.
