Shortlist announced for Wandsworth Civic Awards 2026

People across Wandsworth submitted nominations celebrating local heroes from every corner of the borough, highlighting acts of dedication, leadership and community service. Judges have now selected the finalists who will go forward to November’s awards ceremony.

The Wandsworth Civic Awards recognise people who make the borough a better place through their selfless service, inspiring leadership and dedication to helping others. Many of those nominated give up their time voluntarily and work behind the scenes, often without expecting recognition.

Mayor of Wandsworth Cllr Emmeline Owens said:

“The nominations we received this year were full of remarkable stories of compassion, generosity and community spirit. Every entry has made a meaningful difference to people’s lives, whether through supporting their neighbours, bringing communities together or helping those most in need.”

“The Civic Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the people who help make Wandsworth such a special borough. I’d like to congratulate everyone who has been shortlisted and thank them for everything they do for our communities.”

The winners will be revealed at a special Civic Awards ceremony in November.
