Come along to a free all-day event for people aged 55 and over, and unpaid carers. Find out about support and services available to older residents in Wandsworth and take part in fun activities.

The event, organised in association with Age UK Wandsworth, will be about wellbeing, connection and community. Entry and all activities are completely free, and free refreshments will be available.

Activities include music, dance, fitness and arts and crafts. Learn how to re-engage with maths and numbers and reminisce through creative activities and storytelling in partnership with the Museum of Brands.

The police will be there to talk about how to be aware of, and prevent, being the victim of scammers, and you can talk directly with local services and organisations offering support.

There will also be the opportunity to share favourite family recipes for our proposed African Caribbean Heritage Recipe Book.  Just pop it into a submission box at the event.

Cabinet Member for Health Graeme Henderson said: "This is going to be a fantastic day which will help people learn how to make the most of their life and stay fit and connected.”

Natalie de Silva, CEO of Age UK Wandsworth said: ‘We are looking forward to welcoming you to the Brighter Living Fair. There will be lots of activities, free refreshments throughout the day, plus expert advice and information. Do come along, we look forward to seeing you there.”

The event is part of the month-long Brighter Living Fair, featuring more than 100 events delivered by community organisations across the borough. There are still plenty to enjoy before the end of the month. See the full programme.

This year Brighter Living is being presented as part of our year as London Borough of Culture, with a range of projects and events to promote wellbeing.
