We’ve set up the Balham Forum to find out what Balham means to you and what you are proud of, as well as hear your suggestions for what could be improved.

As a listening council committed to putting people at the heart of our work, we want to hear from local residents and businesses. Over the next six months, we’ll be reaching out to residents through interactive events, chats with the Council Leader, and online surveys.
Our first event will be The Balham Brunch on 22 November, 11am-1pm at Trinity St Mary’s primary school.
Join us for a bite to eat and chat to Simon Hogg, local councillors and community groups, or just leave your thoughts on one of our maps.
Balham already has a thriving town centre, with recent improvements including new lights under the railway bridge, more CCTV coverage and more frequent street cleaning. Upcoming work includes revamps of local playgrounds, Balham Library and the pedestrian tunnels in Bedford Hill.
The Balham Forum will gather your views over the next six months to help us understand what further changes would make the most difference to you. We want to know what you love about Balham, as well as what could do with a little improvement, so we can apply what we’ve learnt to other town centres in the borough.
Leader of the Council Simon Hogg said: "We believe it’s the people who live and work in an area who best know how it can be made even better. Balham is a fantastic town centre, with a strong sense of community and great nightlife and shopping.
“Your thoughts will help us discover what works and what could work better.”
Visit our dedicated Balham Forum website to find out more, take our online survey and drop a pin in the interactive map with your thoughts and ideas.
