Over 111,000 residents voted – 48.2 per cent of the electorate.
All the results are in and no single party has overall control of Wandsworth Council. The Conservative party secured the most seats winning 29. The Labour party secured 28 seats. The remaining seat has been retained by Councillor Malcolm Grimston who stood again as an independent candidate.
Over the coming days, those elected will discuss how the Council will be governed. In the meantime, residents will continue to receive Council services as usual.
The formal position will be confirmed at the Council’s Annual Meeting on 27 May, where members will appoint key roles and agree the administration arrangements.
