Now in its tenth year, Employ Wandsworth is held exclusively for Wandsworth residents. Those attending were able to meet representatives from 60 businesses looking for local talent, get advice on training and career development, watch a live demonstration of skills and take part in employment and skills workshops.

One local company, Taylor Wimpey, was represented by Kel-Harry Nsowah, who secured a job at the firm after attending Employ Wandsworth last year. He said: “I was unemployed at the time having just graduated, but after attending Employ Wandsworth, Wandsworth Work Match helped me into employment.

Leader-Elect Aled Richards-Jones said: “Employ Wandsworth is a fantastic event that is more popular than ever. Over the years Wandsworth Work Match has helped thousands of local people into work and ensures that Wandsworth residents get the pick of the local opportunities on offer.”

The Wandsworth Council-run Work Match service is a jobs brokerage matching up local people and Wandsworth-based companies with job opportunities. The completely free service also provides employment training and support, and local companies can advertise their vacancies at no cost.

If you missed Employ Wandsworth you can contact Wandsworth Work Match directly to find out about local vacancies and training opportunities and to get help applying for a job.
