Apply now to host a free street party for Clean Air Day

Transform your neighbourhood into a vibrant community celebration by hosting a free street party to mark this year’s Clean Air Day in June.

Applications to host a Clean Air Day event over the weekend of 20 to 21 June are open until Friday 5 June. 

Street parties are a great way to meet your neighbours, build community spirit, create safe spaces for children to play, and enjoy walking and cycling – and we’re waiving fees to host a celebration for Clean Air Day.

Clean Air Day on 18 June is an annual event which brings families, residents, and communities together in a safe space without motor vehicles, reducing air pollution.  

Street parties usually cost £64 but those held to mark Clean Air Day in June and Car Free Day in September are free of charge, to encourage residents to come together.

Any street can apply to take part, providing it isn’t a main road, bus route or emergency vehicle route.

You can play music, share food and enjoy getting to know your neighbours better.
