Now in its 14th year, this national awareness week, led by our partners London Arts and Health and the Culture, Health & Wellbeing Alliance, showcases how creativity and culture play an important role in improving health and wellbeing.

As London Borough of Culture 2025, Wandsworth is celebrating the borough’s rich creativity and diversity, and wellbeing is at the heart of it. From dance to visual art, these events show how culture helps us feel better, connect more deeply, and build healthier communities.

Cabinet member for Public Health and Community Safety, Graeme Henderson, said:
“At Wandsworth, we believe that wellbeing is fundamental to a thriving borough. Whether it’s dancing, making art, walking, or simply connecting with others.”

Deputy Leader of the Council and Cabinet member for Voluntary Sector, Business Engagement and Culture, Kemi Akinola, said:
“These moments of culture and care have a real impact on mental and physical health. That’s why, as London Borough of Culture 2025, one of our key focuses is on wellbeing, inclusion and bringing people together through creative and joyful experiences.”

From Tooting to Nine Elms, this week offers something for everyone, and we encourage residents of all ages and backgrounds to get involved.
