If you are dealing with money worries and need support, come along to our free drop-in event to find out what support is available to you, how to manage debt or household bills, and ask questions to expert advisors who can offer tailored advice.
Advisors will be available to assist with a wide range of queries, from helping you to access all the benefits you are entitled to, to directing you to council or voluntary sector services that can support you.
The Money Advice Roadshow will take place on Thursday, 12 March between 2:30 to 5pm at the Open Door Community Centre, Keevil Drive, Beaumont Road, London, SW19 6TF. The first 75 households will receive a £10 supermarket voucher for attending the event.
The event will be an opportunity for you to speak directly with staff across Wandsworth Council, as well as other organisations such as Citizens Advice and Thinking Works.
This event is open to everyone living in Wandsworth and no appointment is needed. Just drop in and you can speak to a variety of council services and voluntary organisations who can provide personalised advice and answer your questions.
Cllr Angela Ireland, Cabinet Member for Finance, said:
“Money worries can feel overwhelming and it can be difficult to know where to go for support or advice. Our Money Advice Roadshows are designed to make it easier for people to talk to key council services and support organisations, bringing free, clear, personalised advice to your neighbourhood.
“We want to ensure residents can access the help available and claim all the benefits and support they’re entitled to. We’re committed to a fairer, more compassionate Wandsworth and we’re here to support residents.”
