Q&A: Simon Hogg answers questions on improving green spaces and reducing fly-tipping

Held at St Mary Magdalene Church on Trinity Road, the event included a Q&A session in which Simon Hogg discussed local issues with residents. He outlined measures the council is taking to reduce littering and fly-tipping, bringing in more CCTV to help community safety, improving parks and green spaces, and what we're doing to tackle rough sleeping, anti-social behaviour, e-bikes and scooters.

He was joined by ward councillors, local police and organisations including Citizens Advice Wandsworth and Neighbourhood Watch. Advice was available on a range of council services such as housing, street cleansing, community safety and children’s services.

Simon Hogg said: “I really enjoyed meeting so many local residents who came along today despite the hot weather. We had good conversations about what the council is doing to improve things, and how we can work together on the issues that matter most to people here in Balham and Trinity wards.”

Residents used a large map to share their ideas for how we could improve the area with funds from the council's Neighbourhood Renewal Fund, which uses payments from local property developers to make neighbourhood improvements.
