Access for All members enjoy 50% to 100% discounts that make key council services and local activities more affordable so everyone can access the opportunities which make Wandsworth so special.
Members have already benefitted from free or discounted use of the borough’s leisure centres, with almost 60,000 visits through the scheme since May. Mohammad, a local Wandsworth resident and Access for All member, shared, “I have been using the programme successfully for access to the gym and swimming pools and I have found it to be a very useful scheme. In addition, my daughter is benefitting from the Access for All programme by receiving free school lunches, which has been a great help.”
Other residents added, “It’s great, I use it every time I go to the gym, it’s really good” and
“swimming pool access is amazing - encourages us to go more often.”
In addition, over 7,000 discounted tickets have been purchased for flagship London Borough of Culture events like Country on the Common, Battersea Park Fireworks and the upcoming 125th birthday celebration for The Clapham Grand.
Eligible residents with children can also benefit from a range of offers for the whole family. This includes free school uniform vouchers, free school meals for secondary school students and free Baby Boxes for new parents, of which nearly 300 have already been distributed.
Simon Hogg, Leader of Wandsworth Council, said: “We’re thrilled to see so many residents benefitting from our Access for All scheme already.
“This milestone shows how much the scheme is valued by our community and reflects our commitment to making Wandsworth a fairer and more inclusive borough.
“The scheme is always growing, with new offers added all the time. We’re also reaching out to local businesses to expand the scheme further into the local area, so if you haven’t already checked, now is the time to see if you’re eligible and sign up for free.”
As the scheme grows, we are keen to hear what local people want to see included, such as our recent expansion to private sector partners, including Lime and Forest e-bikes and Voi e-scooters, with over 200 members already benefitting from discounted, sustainable travel around the borough.
Access for All complements benefits available to all residents, such as Wandsworth’s ambitious Cost of Living Fund, the expansion of our Family Hubs, and partnership with Dolly Parton’s charity, giving every child under 5 in the borough a free book delivered to their front door.
How to sign up?
It’s quick and easy to sign up to become an Access for All member. All approved applicants will be given a digital membership card that can be used to access the offers, available in their smartphone’s digital wallet or physical cards are available.
Proof of eligibility will be required to apply for a membership card, but then members only need to show their membership card when accessing any of the offers.
