The next Room for Work programme begins later this month, and job seekers aged 40+ are encouraged to sign up.

The free course is run by the council’s jobs and employment agency Work Match. The focus will be on developing skills and gaining the knowledge and confidence to enter the workforce in a range of jobs ranging from administrative to managerial and professional roles.
The course is delivered in 12 sessions over six weeks near Clapham Junction Station.
The programme covers:
- Job search methods
- CV writing
- Interview skills
- Social networking
- Speaking skills
At each session you’ll learn and practise a new skill or improve one you have already. Classes take place in a relaxed and friendly environment and you’ll be with people in the same situation as yourself, where you’ll receive peer support.
The course begins on January 31.
