Last year's award ceremony

The annual ceremony taking place on 1st March 2024 is hosted by reporter, journalist and Sky Sports TV presenter Emma Paton at The Civic Suite, Wandsworth.

For the past 25 years the Active Wandsworth Awards, run by Enable in partnership with Wandsworth Council, have celebrated the talented local sports people, coaches, volunteers, schools, organisations and clubs for their dedication and personal commitment to helping local people get and stay active regardless of age, ability or financial situation.

The Awards have recognised hundreds of local people in that time and have crowned some exceptional athletes including Commonwealth Games winners Joaquin and Javier Bello, England rugby star Kyle Sinckler and Olympic athletes Katie Snowden and Steph Davis.

This year a new category, the ‘Connecting Wandsworth Award’, will recognise projects that have improved residents' health and wellbeing and made physical activity and sport accessible and inclusive.

The deadline to nominate is 21st January.  Find out more and nominate
