This Christmas and New Year period, selected Community Spaces are open around the borough for all residents, but people are encouraged to check which spaces will be open or available.

The spaces offer a warm place to go for anyone that may want a hot drink, affordable meal, to meet other local people, or to engage in various activities on offer.

Many people may feel isolated or lonely during the festive period, so these spaces are a good chance to connect with other people nearby in a safe and welcoming place. They also provide a warm place for people to go to save money on energy costs at home.

People can find assistance to combat the cost of living, such as Citizens Advice, help with energy costs, and mental health support.

Below are events and services running on Christmas Day and New Years Day.

-        Battersea Arts Centre – 25 December 11:30-15:00 in BAC Grand Hall. A free event for local families and residents who may be struggling financially or emotionally during the festive season.

-        Mushkil Aasaan, Tooting - 25 December and 1 January 10am – 3pm – Festive Day for Families – Free hot meals. To book call 020 8672 6581 or email haf@mushkilaasaan.com
