We are now producing our regular weekly e-newsletter on a daily basis. Until now we have been sending it out to existing Brightside Online subscribers.

This week, it was agreed that local authorities could use email addresses collated as part of the electoral register to communicate important local messaging and health information to local people. This is why you are now receiving this update.

The Data Processor for our E-newsletter Dotmailer, has updated its Data Processing Agreement and third-party vendor contracts to meet the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements.

Dotmailer has self-certified to the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield and lawfully transfers EU/EEA personal data to the U.S. pursuant to their Privacy Shield Certification. More information about Dotmailer and its privacy policy.

We will only use your email address to communicate with you regarding issues related to Coronavirus and local service impact. When the Pandemic is over and there is no need for us to have this newsletter, you will no longer receive updates and your email address will be deleted from our newsletter system.
