New service can help people find a job or change career

The council’s Work Match scheme has unveiled a new initiative to help boost residents’ chances of finding employment or changing career.
Its newly launched Career Transition Employability Programme is free to access and aims to ensure that residents are in the strongest possible position with the right skills, mindset and confidence to apply for a new role when ready.
The programme is suitable for residents who are seeking employment or for individuals in work who are considering a career change.
Its skilled trainers and employment experts can help with:
• Personal development
• Career coaching and job brokerage support
• Access to sector led training
• Interview coaching and CV development
• Developing a social media presence
• Plus a range of other skills
