Our libraries
What you can do in our libraries:
- Reserve or renew library items
- Borrow audio books, ebooks and music
- Search catalogue (books, maps, films and music)
- Recycle batteries and small electricals
- Attend an event or activity
- Join a library
- We have a Heritage service based at Battersea library, offering information on local history and heritage
- If you cannot find a book you are looking for, suggest a book to add to stock. We will consider your suggestions, but we cannot promise we will stock the item.
Charges
There are no charges for borrowing books as long as they are returned or renewed before the due date.
Unless you have an exemption, there are fees for:
- Borrowing recorded music
- Talking books
- Language courses
- Videos
- DVDs

Recycling batteries and small electricals
You can take your batteries and small electronic items (WEEE) for recycling to this library.
- The only batteries accepted are 'button cells', AAA, AA, C, 9V, D and 6V - see an image of accepted batteries. These can also be recycled at local battery retailers. All other batteries, including lead acid vehicle and laptop and smart phone type batteries can be taken to Smugglers Way
- Only domestic electrical items can be deposited in the WEEE banks (size limit 21cm x 19cm) and any personal data should be removed in advance
