Free messy play & crafting

Our popular messy play sessions are back. Suitable for children aged from 0 to 5 (SEND kids up to 8 years).

Art workshops for wellbeing

Art & Soul will be leading a new series of art-for-wellbeing sessions in January and February.

Tea and coffee will be available from 11am with activities starting at 11.30am.

Booking for these sessions is recommended via info@artandsoul.org.uk but drop-ins are also welcome.

Mapping Memories

Join a two-part creative workshop exploring, remembering and reimagining local neighbourhoods.

Share favourite places, hidden gems and memories of Wandsworth, and create your own walking tour ideas inspired by people and place.

Create a collage artwork using magazine cut-outs, inspired by real and imagined Wandsworth spaces, and share the story behind your work.

Create, connect and celebrate our diverse borough through art.

Library Legends

Come along to our Library Legends community art event and become your favourite book character!

Help us to create a new artwork for the Danebury Avenue Hoarding. Draw your favourite character and we will add your face to it!

The event is supported by local artist, Katie. It is open to participants of all ages and fancy dress is encouraged.

The Holly Lodge Centre family fun day

This family fun day in the heart of Richmond Park is open to all residents of the Alton estate.

Join us for a magical celebration as we honour the ancient tradition of Wassailing the Trees - waking the orchard spirits and wishing for a bountiful harvest! Expect music, dancing, storytelling and creative arts for all ages. Warm up with delicious warm drinks and apple cake.

Visions of Wandsworth

Join artist Shiza Naveed for a painting workshop exploring our collective visions for the future of Wandsworth.

In this workshop, you're invited to share stories of Wandsworth past and present, reflecting on your favourite parts of the place you call home. We'll then explore what you'd like to preserve and what you'd like to add to the story of the borough, before collectively painting a vision for Wandsworth's future.

The workshop is open to all women.

Free cooking demonstrations

Why not come along to our free cooking demonstrations at Chantelle's Community Kitchen? 

The demonstrations offer an opportunity for attendees to learn some basic cooking skills and build your confidence in the kitchen. We will be offering free recipe cards and ingredients to try cooking at home.

Alton residents invited to get moving from Couch to 5K

Residents of the Alton Estate in Roehampton are being encouraged to take their first steps towards fitness by joining the NHS Couch to 5K initiative.

This free and accessible programme is designed to help beginners gradually build up their running ability, making it a great way to improve health and wellbeing.

Taking part is easy – simply download the Couch to 5K app and let us know you’re getting involved by calling 07903 927479 or emailing bugbearworkshops@gmail.com. Participants who sign up will receive additional support to stay motivated and on track throughout their journey.

This initiative is part of Wandsworth Moves Together, the council’s leisure strategy, which is committed to creating estate-based physical activity programmes that deliver affordable and accessible opportunities for residents. The Alton Estate pilot is the first of many initiatives aimed at making it easier for people to lead active and healthy lives.

Chantelle's Community Kitchen

Free pre-packed, nutritious, homemade meals to take away or eat in (donations appreciated if you feel able).

Chantelle’s Community Kitchen always welcomes new volunteers, with or without cooking experience. There are a variety of roles to fill in the friendly kitchen on Mondays and Tuesdays.

SW15 Women's Network invites you to a free weekly women's coffee morning.

Our coffee mornings provide you with an opportunity to take a break, meet new friends and find out what's going on in your local community.
