Description
Proposed redevelopment of land located South-East of 63-75 Skeena Hill. The new development will provide Council Rent homes for local people and those working within the borough as part of our Homes for Wandsworth programme.
We have commissioned a design team to assess the feasibility for the redevelopment of the previously non-residential area of the Galleons Estate into new housing, with additional landscaping and amenity improvements benefitting the wider estate.
News
Planning permission was granted at the February 2024 Planning Committee to transform garages at the Galleons Estate into six council rent homes.
The planning application was submitted following ongoing consultation with the local community throughout the design phase of the scheme and their feedback was incorporated into the planning application.
We will continue to keep local people informed as the development progresses. The next steps will be to source and appoint a contractor and create a bespoke works plan.

Resident and stakeholder engagement
A further consultation and engagement session with local stakeholders took place on Tuesday 27 June 2023 at the Ackroydon Community Hall, followed by a webinar on the evening of Wednesday 28 June.
