Council Tax Reduction consultation
We are proposing changes to our Council Tax Reduction Scheme from April 2027, in order to help more low-income households, ensure that everyone makes a contribution towards the cost of local services and to make the scheme financially sustainable.
These are proposals, not yet final decisions. We are consulting residents before a final decision is made and would like you to share your views through our questionnaire.
The questionnaire will close on Friday 13 November 2026.
If approved, the changes would take effect from 1 April 2027.
