Solidarity Lunch – Healthy Eating on a Caribbean Diet

Project Summary

The Caribbean Solidarity Lunch project, held on 16 June 2025 at the Roehampton Family Hub, brought residents together to explore healthy eating through the lens of culturally familiar Caribbean cuisine.

Designed to celebrate culture while promoting healthier habits, the event combined a vegetarian community meal, a live cooking demonstration and an interactive Q&A session. The initiative was supported by the Caribbean Healthy Eating Guide, a resource co‑produced with Roehampton residents to ensure authenticity, accessibility and cultural relevance.

The lunch created a warm, community‑centred environment where residents could learn practical skills, share experiences and build confidence in preparing nutritious meals at home.
