Re: Homes for Wandsworth - 1,000 homes for council rent scheme - https://ashburtonsouth-homesforwandsworth.co.uk/

Innes Gardens, SW15 is a proposed site for the above scheme (Innes Gardens East and Innes Gardens West sites - 2 different locations at Innes Gardens).

I would like to request the following information:

- Who and when identified the site 'Innes Gardens East' and 'Innes Gardens West' as Potential Development Sites for the above scheme? Please provide name(s), position within the Council and contact details; the date - month and year

- The period for submitting initial feedback has closed on Monday 9th January 2023. Has the project team collated and analysed all the feedback for Innes Gardens East and Innes Gardens West? Please provide the date when this was achieved. Please provide the breakdown in numbers for both sites (excluding the Innes Gardens petition) for feedback:

o Strongly agree

o Agree

o Neutral

o Disagree

o Strongly disagree

- A petition has been submitted to the Council on 9.01.2023 by residents strongly opposing the development at both sites at Innes Gardens East and West. Please confirm how many signatures have been received strongly opposing the development.

- Who can make the decision to stop the development of council homes (part of the scheme 1,000 homes for council rent) at Innes Gardens before it even goes to a formal consultation? Is this solely a decision of one person? Is that person Cllr Dikerdem? Is there not a committee involved in the decision making? Is Director of Housing & Regeneration Brian Reilly, Assistant Director (Regeneration and Development) Andy Algar not involved in decision making? Please provide names, position within the Council and contact details.

Request for Information - WBC-FOI-00831 - Innes Gardens

I refer to your request for information received on 20 February 2023. Please see the information below in response to your request: -

-Who and when identified the site 'Innes Gardens East' and 'Innes Gardens West' as Potential Development Sites for the above scheme? Please provide name(s), position within the Council and contact details; the date - month and year

The sites were initially identified by officers within the Housing and Regeneration Department as potentially contributing to fulfilling the Borough's housing needs as part of the 1,000 Homes Programme under the previous administration (Housing and Regeneration Overview and Scrutiny Committee dated 16th November 2017 / Paper No. 17-417), albeit other sites throughout the borough were prioritised until resources were allocated to commence a review of the estate in early 2022. The new administration reaffirmed its backing of the project at Housing Committee on 14th September 2022 / Paper No. 22-252.

-The period for submitting initial feedback has closed on Monday 9th January 2023. Has the project team collated and analysed all the feedback for Innes Gardens East and Innes Gardens West?

The analysis has been collated by our Communication Consultant Team and findings will be reported as part of the next phase of consultation, for which invitations will be circulated in due course, and confirmed on the dedicated scheme websites.

Please provide the date when this was achieved. Please provide the breakdown in numbers for both sites (excluding the Innes Gardens petition) for feedback:

oStrongly agree

oAgree

oNeutral

oDisagree

oStrongly disagree

Feedback for all sites identified on the Ashburton estate was collated from the feedback forms received on-line totalling 143, of which 65 were completed by residents of Innes Gardens:

Question 5 of the feedback form 'Do you agree with the idea of providing new council rent homes on sites at Ashburton South……' provided the following response and % breakdown:

-A petition has been submitted to the Council on 9.01.2023 by residents strongly opposing the development at both sites at Innes Gardens East and West. Please confirm how many signatures have been received strongly opposing the development.

The petition contains 213 signatures.

-Who can make the decision to stop the development of council homes (part of the scheme 1,000 homes for council rent) at Innes Gardens before it even goes to a formal consultation? Is this solely a decision of one person? Is that person Cllr Dikerdem? Is there not a committee involved in the decision making? Is Director of Housing & Regeneration Brian Reilly, Assistant Director (Regeneration and Development) Andy Algar not involved in decision making? Please provide names, position within the Council and contact details.

The Council's Housing Committee and Executive would ultimately take any decision on whether to remove any schemes from the Homes for Wandsworth programme, and consequently halt the design and consultation process.
