Request for Information - WBC-FOI-00609 - Dropped Kerbs

I refer to your request for information received on 30 January 2023. Please see the information below in response to your request: -

Your Request:

I would like to know the number of requests you've had for dropped kerbs between January 2018 and January 2023. If possible, I would like the information to include:

  • The address/ postcode where the request was made

  • Whether the request was accepted or refused

  • How much the processing fee was for the request

    Our Response:

Please note that Wandsworth Council are unable to provide this information as we consider the cost to do so would exceed the FOI appropriate limit, as specified in the Freedom of Information and Data Protection (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004; therefore section 12(1) of the Act applies. The appropriate limit has been set at £450 and may include working hours of any person acting on our behalf at a rate of £25 per hour. This equates to 18 hours to locate and extract the relevant information. To comply with your request would take in excess of 18 hours as the information is not held in a readily extractable format and would require a manual undertaking to review approximately 425 records. Even at a conservative estimate of 10 minutes per case file, it would take in excess of 70 hours to identify, locate, retrieve and extract the relevant information. This significantly exceeds the appropriate limit under the Act.

In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000, this response acts as a Refusal Notice.

If you are dissatisfied with the information provided in relation to your request, you may make representations to the Information and Transparency Manager. Any such request for an internal review should be made within 40 days from today's date. Correspondence should be addressed to: FOIW@richmondandwandsworth.gov.uk

If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you have the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision at: https://ico.org.uk/global/contact-us/

    Regards,

    FOI and DPA Officer
