Subject: Unaccompanied children seeking asylum

This is a question that relates to unaccompanied children seeking asylum in the UK who you took responsibility for and then you had a duty of care towards them when they turned 18:

1. At the start of the 2022 academic year (ie Sept/Oct 2022) how many of these young adults did you provide funding for living expenses (accommodation or general living expenses) while attending a university degree course in the UK?

2. In the 2021/22 financial year what was the cost of these living expenses to your authority?

3. As of the start of the 2022 academic year (ie Sept/Oct 2022) please state the number of these young adults you were funding to attend which universities in the UK. Please provide a list showing the name of the institution and the number you are funding at each institution?
