I refer to your request for information received on 19 January 2023. Please see the information below in response to your request: -

Please can you tell me the number of public bins the council has provided in your area for the past five years (1 January 2018 - 19 January 2023)? Please could this be broken down by month, the type of bin, the location (eg park or street).

Waste/Highways: Approximately 408 freestanding litter bins were installed, or replaced damaged bins in Town Centres and streets cleaned at least once daily. 11 were solar bins and 32 were dual recycling and litter bins.

Parks/Open Spaces: Approximately 862 bins are installed across our open spaces, including general waste bins, recycling bins (Tooting Common, Wandsworth Common and Battersea Park only). We do not hold records for the installation dates.

Waste/Highways: No Bins were removed by the Council.

Parks/Open Spaces: No bins were removed in Open Spaces (damaged bins are replaced).

Please can you tell the savings made from the removal of the bins, broken down annually from 1 January 2018-19 January 2023?

Waste/Highways: Zero, as no bins were removed.

Parks/Open Spaces: Zero for Open Spaces.
