I am interested in the total number of environmental enforcement Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) that have been issued by your council in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Could this also be broken down by:

  • The offence each environmental enforcement FPN was issued

  • The value of each penalty issued

  • Whether each penalty was paid by the offender

Your Request:

I am interested in the total number of environmental enforcement Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) that have been issued by your council in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Could this also be broken down by:

  • The offence each environmental enforcement FPN was issued

  • The value of each penalty issued

  • Whether each penalty was paid by the offender

    2020

    Litter FPNs - 4,081 issued (2,555 paid)

    Fly Tipping FPNs - 747 issued (269 paid)

    No Waste Documents FPNs - 152 issued (49 paid)

    2021

    Litter FPNs - 3,991 issued (2,529 paid)

    Fly Tipping FPNs - 437 issued (165 paid)

    No Waste Documents FPNs - 74 issued (21 paid)

    2022

    Litter FPNs - 4,078 issued (2,308 paid)

    Fly Tipping FPNs - 655 issued (173 paid)

    No Waste Documents FPNs - 132 issued (46 paid)

    The value of each FPN is:

    Litter FPNs - £150 (£100 if paid within 10 days)

    Fly Tipping FPNs - £400

    No Waste Documents FPNs - £300 (£210 if paid within 10 days)
