DescriptionPeople with learning disabilities may have issues with drugs and alcohol like anybody else - you can find out more about where to get help here. Many live in the community with varying levels of support. They try to lead normal lives and therefore may come across the same temptations as people without learning disabilities.

Alcohol is more common than drug misuse and people with a mild learning disability may be more likely to have these difficulties than those with more severe learning disabilities.
