Family Groups (Al- Anon)
|Address||57B Great Suffolk Street, |
|Description||Family Groups (Al- Anon) provide support to anyone whose life is, or has been, affected by someone else’s drinking, regardless of whether that person is still drinking or not. |
Al-Anon is a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience in order to solve their common problems. They hold regular meetings where members share their own experience of living with alcoholism. They also offer a confidential helpline that is open 12 hours a day. For teenage relatives and friends of alcoholics there is Alateen, which is part of Al-Anon. Al-Anon does not offer advice or counselling, but members aim to give each other understanding, strength and hope.
There are groups locally in and around Wandsworth, including in Balham, Roehampton, Clapham and Wimbledon. Visit the website to find your nearest group.
