DescriptionPlatform 1 Cafe in Clapham Junction is a training cafe for people with learning disabilities run by the Camden Society. If you would like to work in catering or want to find out what it's like to have a job, you can come to Platform 1 to get that experience. The café offers catering training and employment services to help people with learning disabilities train for work and get qualifications.

You can learn how to:

- Prepare food
- Cook a range of meals and snacks
- Serve customers
- Prepare for events and parties
- Keep the cafe looking great

To get started, the first thing to do is to contact Platform One and arrange a visit. You can also have a day at the cafe to see if you like it. If you want to start training, they will put a plan together with you. The training aims to meet you needs and help you get the skills you need to start work. Trainees can choose to attend for one or more days per week.

EligibilityThis service is for people with learning disabilities.
CostsCost include all uniforms, meals, refreshments and the training, qualifications and certification. For one day per week the cost is:

- £281.67 per calendar month (which is around £65 per day)
