DescriptionOlder people’s charity, Independent Age provides free information and advice for older people and their families on care and support, money and benefits and health and mobility, along with friendship services to relieve loneliness. A charity founded over 150 years ago, we’re independent so you can be.
They provide a range of services, including:

- A free telephone advice service for older people, their families and carers dealing with enquiries about care at home, residential care, support to remain independent and welfare benefits
- Free Wise Guides – a range of information booklets available to order online at Order your Wise Guides or through the advice service
- Talktime phone club – telephone-based book and discussion groups
- One-to-one befriending by volunteers (either in your own home or by telephone)

Independent Age is the operating name of the Royal United Kingdom Beneficent Association, founded 150 years ago.
