Waste and Recycling A-Z

Paper and card

  • Card
  • Cardboard

We can accept clean and dry sheets of paper, card and cardboard including:

  • Newspaper
  • Magazines
  • White and coloured paper
  • Catalogues
  • Directories
  • Leaflets
  • Envelopes
  • Softback books
  • Cereal boxes
  • Corrugated cardboard

These can be placed in clear recycling sacks and orange-lidded recycling banks.

Please tear large pieces of cardboard and large directories/catalogues into smaller pieces before recycling them if possible. Alternatively, dry, flattened and stacked cardboard for recycling can be placed beside your clear recycling sacks, but please avoid this during wet weather.

We cannot accept hardback books in these containers so please donate them to local charity shops or recycle them at the household waste and recycling centre in Smugglers Way, Wandsworth.

Reuse

Reduce the amount of paper you use by:

  • Using both sides of paper for printing
  • Using old paper for notes
  • Re-using envelopes
