Waste and Recycling A-Z

DIY Waste

DIY waste is anything that formed part of the fixtures and fittings of your home, but it excludes the loose contents.

For example, DIY waste includes any items fixed to a wall or floor, such as:

  • A fitted bath,
  • A fitted carpet
  • A wall-mounted cupboard
  • Bath units - i.e. sink, toilet, shower panels
  • Blinds
  • Built-in wardrobes
  • Sheds
  • Shelves
  • Skirting boards
  • Tiles
  • Wooden fencing

Bulky waste is:

  • A free-standing bath
  • A loose rug, or
  • A free-standing cupboard
